What does Guardian Estate Sales do?

Every estate is unique, so Guardian Estate Sales takes a case by case approach to handling the needs of every client.  We offer a variety of services, from full estate sales and downsizing to personal property management and assessment.  We can fully prepare your home for sale, or we can simply help you organize and liquidate specific assets.  It all starts with a free on site consultation.

What kinds of items do you sell?

We sell all kinds of personal property: furniture, antiques, collections of every kind, art, sterling silver and gold, all household items, garage and yard items, jewelry, clothing, cars, trucks, tractors, and recreational vehicles and firearms.  You name it, we can sell it—you might be amazed at the types of household items that have value—don’t throw anything away and leave the sorting to us!  We all sell real property, too!

Can you sell my house, too?

Yes we can.  We have one licensed Realtor, Riley Wilcox, who specializes in representing sellers.  He operates out of the Equity Northwest Real Estate brokerage located at 6126 W. State St in Boise, Idaho and is a co-owner of the Guardian Estate Sales.

Do you keep track of everything that you sell?

Yes. Every item sold for over $50.00 is itemized on your final settlement.

How do you attract buyers to the sale?

We utilize the Idaho Statesman, Craigslist, Estatesales.org, Estatesales.net, Facebook, as well as various local publications and email.  We also have large, eye-catching signs to attract local consumers.

Are you licensed, bonded, and insured?


What do you do to ensure the safety and security of the home and its contents?

We  maintain a large amount of employees to monitor and assist customers.  Locked cases are also provided for high-value items.  We also utilize a theft-deterring surveillance system when necessary.

Can you help if I just want help selling certain items? 


How do you determine what my stuff is worth?

We are highly trained and experienced in determining the fair market value of your items. However, we come across an item we are unfamiliar with, we will be diligent in researching the item and we will utilize a third-party consultant in a related field to help us determine the most accurate value. We strive to ensure every single item is priced correctly, but also in such manner that maximizes its potential worth.

Will you completely clear the home after the sale?

Yes.  We offer complete after-sale services that provide clean up once the sale has concluded.  We will be happy to discuss your specific needs during your initial free consultation.

How many days do you have the estate sale?

Most estate sales are on a Saturday and Sunday from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.

What types of payments are accepted at the sale?

We accept cash, checks, credit cards, and Paypal.
